PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Flexdrive - Sold to LYFT in 2019
As the leader in Automotive Mobility industry Flexdrive was on the forefront of establishing a new industry of vehicle subscription and was also setting User Experience standards for it.
The reason for this redesign was to eliminate the dated design language and implement a design system that can make the experience better for the user and potential partners.
Flexdrive was sold to LYFT in 2019 and is still used by LYFT users.
THE PROCESS
-
Performed qualitative and quantitative tests to determine the main issues for the Users. Some frustration points were identified such as a static navigation system that was changing based on the context with primary and tertiary buttons changing position.
-
Step one was to step away from the existing style guide and establish a new design system that is not just legible but is also ver consistent through out different platforms.
The idea is to stay true to the brand while respecting each platform.
-
Once the design system was established then came the time to create the new UI based on the new flow.
-
Once the UI was established, worked closely with the development team to not only implement but refine the new UI.
